Trusted Leadership for a Better Utah

Meet Zane

I am a Summit County native who grew up farming and ranching in Weber Canyon and the Kamas Valley, and I have spent my life serving the communities that raised me. After earning my accounting degree from the University of Utah, I built a nearly forty-year career in public finance and education administration, including the last twelve years as business administrator for the Ogden School District, managing budgets, personnel, and public facilities.

Closer to home, I served more than twenty years on the Oakley Planning Commission and recently completed my term as Mayor of Oakley. I am proudest of the unglamorous work: solving our aging water system with the new Cattail well, protecting hundreds of acres of open space and farmland along the Weber River, and supporting affordable housing through the Mountainlands Community Housing Trust. I am running for House District 4 to bring that same practical, hands-on service to the families of Summit, Morgan, and Rich counties.

“As a native of Summit County with dear friends and associates living throughout House District 4, it would be my honor to serve the citizens here in the Utah State Legislature and help strengthen the communities in which we live.”
